Sunday December 10
If typing my holiday account on a Bluetooth detachable keyboard using a handphone on one's travels makes one a digital travel warrior, then I am now on. It is not very much by choice but rather the convenience oftravelling light. It is unnerving to travel without my Macbook Air but circumstances are such that it is time to do things the new way.
I am a digital Johny come lately but it is better than nothing. Right now, I am armed with a new MI Note 4, a foldable keyboard and apps for messaging, for checking in, for my maps ad public transport needs. Who would imagine in my lifetime, I would use a CRT TV and end up with a tiny device as my computer and mobile phone, mind blowing!
Anyway, back to my travels. This trip was a result of Pat snooping around Expedia on one of those long TV commercial breaks and by the end of the commercial,we had ended up with 2 tickets to London on Malaysia Airlines. It was a bit of impulsiveness, since kiddo has goneback to London for just 1 weeks and we have not tied hard enoughot to miss her. Furthermore, we had a lengthy trip with her in Irelandn June,. Thankfully, God has made it happen an so are off to see kiddo in London even if it would be term time.
It is a lovely day for a trip to Changi Airport, not too hot or rainy. We failed miserably to summon an Uber cab because the newly installed app did not work.it was down to the old fashioned way, hailing ya cab the old fashioned way. The cabbie didn't apply a airport surcharge so it was a pleasant surprise.
We played around terminal 2 and did some shopping for a good 2 hours. mh608 departed on time to my pleasure.in 40 minutes we were in klia for more eating and shopping before catching the next flight out to (London).
It was an experience taking the last row in the A380. It means a reclined seat all the way to London without anyone behind me calling for my blood.
We reached London without a hitch.Immigration and commute in the wee hours of Sunday was a breeze. What I thought was slow moving rain turned out to be big puffs of snow and amazement turned to alarm when we realized how little we were wearing.
We struggled to H's flat in the chilly weather, balancing luggages and umbrella. After offloading our gifts to her, we left our luggage there and bought her one of the biggest breakfast we have ever had before she set off to church. We snooped around Camden, walking on slush in the snow and cold to the core.

Large but disappointing |
At Colindale, we checked out our apartment which was already vacated but yet to be cleaned. We made our wait productive and shopped in GoOutdoors for a replacement shoe. A purchase was made but the service and range of goods was appalling.
We rendezvous at H's in the evening . H already had an exciting day in church and was filling us in with the latest development in her life while we two struggled to keep in sync with the conversation. By 7pm, we surrendered to the jet lag, collected out things and set off for Colindale again. Another walk in snow, this time a big workout dragging our luggage.
The flat is nice and cosy but overcome with tiredness, we went to la la land. Snow pelted throughout the night while we slept. I was certain the weather would make headlines the next day.
